Background stream methodology

Service providers have developed and implemented many methods in order to approach and reach different target groups. Particular methodologies have been adopted in specific areas, but are not known or used in other areas (drug user sex worker). Other methodologies are quite new and service providers face lack of information, knowledge and expertise. Therefore this stream is focusing on the identification of methods, which are feasible in different working fields

Within this stream, we will work on outreach, internet based outreach and empowerment methodologies. This three subgroups (expert groups) are working closely together with the stream hard to reach groups in order to guarantee cross over value. Besides, specific implementations and activities will be carried out in each expert group as models of good practice.

Each expert group will organise one seminar on the specific topic in question. Although, this seminar will be organised by stream 4, the input and the cooperation of the other streams is essential, as overlap and cross-over topics will contribute to the seminars.

Tasks of the stream:
  • To map existing models and develop new models of best practice
  • To implement evaluate models and intervention
  • To make models and interventions feasible for different working fields / target groups
  • To develop guidelines and give advice and support to service providers in general.
